H&AI provided Civil Engineering and Landscape Architecture for this redevelopment project in the White Center area. The project removed 4 existing houses and replaced them with a 30 unit multi-family development composed of 3 buildings. The site required extensive grading with the use of daylight basement style buildings.

The project is being prepared for a consortium of low income housing groups. This area has been known for water quality problems and the project was designed under the 2009 King County Surface Water Management Manual. The drainage design features porous concrete pavement, cartridge filtration and a sand filter vault to meet water quality standards.

The landscape design featured drought tolerant, low maintenance plants for screening and accent.  There are also garden boxes and a play area for the enjoyment of the residents.
